Life Coaches/Advocates Mark and Rebecca
Mark and Rebecca have over 50 years of experience together. They navigate life as neurodivergent people. Mark has ADHD and Rebecca is autistic.
Mark is a retired physician. He is also a self-professed entrepreneur. He is adept at figuring out most things given his curious and remarkable mind. He is particularly good at bridging the gap between the neurodivergent and non-neurodivergent world.
Rebecca was a high-school dropout who went on to earn a GED. She also earned four college degrees and a post-graduate certification, including a doctorate. She spent many years in higher education as both an academic faculty member and administrator and has successfully started two successful businesses from scratch. She has also written and been awarded a United States patent.

Glossary of Terms
Neurodivergence
A term used to describe variations in the human brain and cognition. It often encompasses conditions like ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, among others. It recognizes that these differences are a natural part of human diversity.
Coaching
A supportive relationship where a coach helps individuals set personal goals and achieve them. The coach fosters motivation and assists in navigating life transitions.
Advocacy
The act of supporting or representing individuals. It helps them navigate complex systems like educational or medical environments. This empowers them to articulate their needs and rights.
Lived Experience
Refers to the personal knowledge gained through direct experience, particularly relating to being neurodivergent. It emphasizes the value of personal insights in guiding and supporting others.
Self-Advocacy
The ability to represent oneself and articulate personal needs or rights, particularly in contexts like education or healthcare.
Neurodivergent-Affirming
An approach that recognizes and values the unique perspectives of neurodivergent individuals. It appreciates their experiences. This approach promotes inclusivity and support in various environments.
Crisis Hotline
A 24/7 telephone service. It provides immediate support and assistance to individuals in crisis. The focus is often on mental health emergencies. Examples include 911 (Emergency) or 988 (Crisis Lifeline).
Doctorate
The highest level of academic degree, typically involving advanced study and research in a specific field.
